When you start checking around for someone to help you train your dog, make sure they are qualified for the job. Ask questions like:

How many years of training has the trainer had?

How many dogs has the trainer qualified for AKC Canine Good Citizens Awards?

What kind of Volunteer Work does the trainer do with their dogs?

Does the Trainer have any Certified Therapy Dogs?

Has the trainer worked in AKC dog training classes? How many years? 

It is our opinion that it takes more than 1 training class from a pet store or an online class to make a person a Qualified Dog Trainer. Inexperienced training can cause unrepairable damage to your dog.
